Big Pine campground is located in the Lolo National Forest of western Montana and on the banks of one of the major tributaries to the Clark Fork River, known as Fish Creek. A medium size campground, Big Pine not only has Fish Creek running through it, it's also home to the largest Ponderosa Pine in the continental US. Hence, the name Big Pine.
